Role in the project

TIME4CS Team

The Citizen Science Center Zurich is a Competence Center established in 2017 by the University of Zurich and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich). Its mission is to support and promote the collaboration of academic scientists and the general public to implement co-created Citizen Science projects. The Center is a one-stop-shop for researchers and the public alike, and provides support with digital tools (web and mobile platforms), methodology, processes, and community management. It also includes the Participative Science Academy, that provide teaching and training material to researchers, students, and practitioners at all levels. The Center’s web infrastructure includes a web platform featuring several ongoing projects (linguistics, global health, biodiversity) and the “CS Project Builder”, a web-based tool that allows an open and easy implementation of data-analysis Citizen Science projects.

As a Front-Runner, we provide the project with our expertise in the field of Citizen Science and our experience in institutionalizing Citizen Science at our two universities. We are mainly involved in the thorough analysis and identification of good practices implemented by the Front-Runners as well as in the knowledge transfer and mutual learning programmes.
